pip install, update, uninstall modules and how to use python

In the process of learning python, you will definitely encounter many places to install modules. You can use easy_install to install them . However, compared with pip, the biggest defect of easy_install is that the modules it installs cannot be uninstalled. Other functions are the same as those of pip. the same.

The following describes the installation of pip :

Installation I summed up two methods 1 Install by downloading the installation file 2 Install by easy_install

1 Download the pip installation package https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pip#downloads

1) The webpage provides two installation packages, one is .whl and the other is a compressed package. The compressed package is mainly explained here. For .whl, you can view the article . Here choose to download pip-7.1.0.tar.gz (md5 , pgp) , then unzip the package into \pip-7.1.0\pip-7.1.0 in the folder

2) Then use the console to write to the command line to install. Use the console to enter the folder path, here you can hold down the Shift key and right-click in the blank space in the path folder to select "Open command window here" to realize the opened console as the path of the folder .

3) Use the python setup.py install command to install pip. You can view the pip file you installed in the path D:\Python27\Lib\site-packages, where D:\Python27 is my python installation path. (To explain here, the reason why you can use python setup.py install is because the setuptools tool is automatically installed when installing python (the path is D:\Python27\Lib\site-packages\setuptools-0.6c11-py2.7.egg -info))

4) You can test whether the module is installed successfully in IDLE of python. Write: import BeatifulSoup If an error is prompted, the installation is not successful.

pip update the module :

1) Use the console command to enter the installation path of pip: D:\Python27\Lib\site-packages

2) Use the update command line: pip install -U PackageName

pip uninstall module :

1) Use the console command to enter the installation path of pip: D:\Python27\Lib\site-packages

2) Use update command line: pip uninstall PackageName
